- I was kind of shocked. She had never shown I was that important to her, except for that night on the dock. I mean, SHE was very important to me, but I hadn't realized the reverse was true. Of course, she didn't show much emotion for anything. Our parent's death didn't seem to hit her very hard. Thinking back to that night on the dock... She HAD reacted very strongly. Very strongly.
